What is the “End Time?”

Referred to as the latter years and is a period of years marked by momentous world- wide, troublous times and hardships including wars; famines; political and economic turbulence; and natural disasters.  These occurrences will reach a climatic stage with the removal of the Lord’s people; a world government; a world leader; God’s wrath upon the unrepentant by which millions will die; the Battle of Armageddon;  the destruction of Satan; and the Lord’s judgment of all people.

Will time end?

Yes. In Revelation 10:6, during the Tribulation Period, an angel declares that “there should be time no longer.” One can also interpret the angel’s statement as, time is up!

What is the Rapture?

Also called the Great Escape, when the Lord Jesus Christ will appear in the air and call for His people.  Those who are dead (but committed their hearts and lives to Christ while living) will rise from their graves first; then those of us who are alive and have committed our hearts to Christ by receiving Him as Lord and Savior,  will miraculously be able to go to Him in the air.  Those who hear the Lord’s call will go to Heaven with Him for seven years (the duration of the Tribulation Period), escaping the Lord’s wrath upon the earth.

Where is it in the Bible?

New Testament book I Thessalonians 4:16-17:  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (vs17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with The Lord

The Lord illustrates the Rapture in Matthew 24:40-41:  Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. (vs41) Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Revelation 4:1 – . . .the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither (here). . .

When will the Rapture take place?

The Rapture will take place before the signing of the Middle East Peace agreement and the beginning of the Tribulation Period.

First Thessalonians 5:2-3 answers this question chronologically:

For yourselves know perfectly that [1st Event] the day of the Lord (the Rapture) so cometh as a thief in the night. (vs3) For when they shall say,

[2nd Event] Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them . . .

So, the Rapture will occur first, causing chaos throughout the entire world. Then the Anti-Christ/World Political Leader will restore order and bring “peace” with the signing of the Middle East/Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement, which will mark the beginning of the Tribulation Period.

Where is the Middle East peace agreement in the Bible?

The peace treaty is in Daniel 9:27 – And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. . .  In this text, one week is prophetically equivalent to seven years.  The covenant is the Middle East peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, which the World Leader or Anti-Christ will sanction for seven years.  After 3 ½ years, he will break the agreement and begin to persecute the Jews.

What happens to the Jews after the peace agreement is broken?

They will flee to the wilderness where God will supernaturally take care of them, as Revelation Chapter 12 metaphorically tells the story, (vs6) And the woman (Israel) fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days (3 1/2 years). Verse 14 reiterates the same using time reference, a time, and times, and half a time—3 ½ yrs. Bible Scholars believe this wilderness location is Petra, Jordan.Please clickhere to see photos.

What is the Tribulation Period?

A seven-year period of time involving great distress and calamity stamped by the

Lord’s wrath, and is a time of sorrow that the earth and its inhabitants have never known (Matthew 24:21). The Tribulation Period is recorded in Jeremiah 30:7, Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s (Israel) trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.

The seven-year time frame is recorded in Daniel 8:13-14 which reads, Then I (Daniel), heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? (Verse 14) And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days (2300); then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

* Please know the Biblical Hebrew calendar only has 10 months.

* Jesus describes the Tribulation period in Matthew 24 and Luke 21:7-36.

God’s purpose for the Tribulation encompasses the purification and conversion of the Jews and judgment of non-Jews because of sin, rejecting Christ as the Messiah, and their persecution of His people (the Jews/Israel and born again non-Jews). Can you be saved during the Tribulation?

Yes. In Revelation 6:9-11, the Bible tells us those who receive Christ or return to Christ (re-committed their hearts to God) during the Tribulation were killed. They are given white robes and told to rest until the remaining of those to be killed for confessing Jesus Christ are received into heaven. Revelation 14:6 depicts the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every nation. People are going to preach during the Tribulation; and people are going to be saved by receiving Christ as Lord. Revelation 13:7a tells us that the Anti-Christ will make war with them and kill them.

Who is the Anti-Christ?

This is the World Political Leader who will exercise complete authority over the one-world government (the New World Order) during the 7-year Tribulation. Second Thessalonians 2:4 – Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all this is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Revelation 13:7b – and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. Known in the Bible as the Man of Sin, Son of Perdition, Abomination of Desolations, and the Beast.

Where does his power come from?

II Thessalonians 2:9 tells us his power comes from Satan – Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.
Revelation 13:4 tells us that the dragon (Satan) gives the beast (the Anti-Christ) his power – And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast.

Who is the false prophet?

This is a religious, political figure who will usher in a One World Religion and command that the Anti-Christ be worshiped.  Revelation 13:11-17 says that the false prophet (the second beast) will exercise the power of the Anti-Christ (the first beast), by causing everyone to worship the Anti-Christ. The false prophet performs
miracles, deceiving millions of people and will demand people take the mark of the beast.

Will the Anti-Christ and false prophet be destroyed?

Yes. The Lord destroys them at the Battle of Armageddon; They are cast into the lake of fire forever in Revelation 19:20.

What is the One World Government/New World Order?

The One World Government/New World Order is a satanic system by which all governments, economies, military forces, religions, and societies worldwide will combine or unify.

Where is the One World government (New World Order) in the Bible?

Revelation 13:7b – and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. In order to rule over nations, one must be a political leader. In Revelation

17:12, the ten horns are ten leaders of their nations.  Unbeknownst to most, the world has been divided into 10 geographical regions by the United Nations.  The UN is the international governing body of the One World System. Revelation 17:13 says

These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.  These ten leaders will willingly surrender their political authority to the World Political Leader/the Anti-Christ.

The One World government is also recorded in Daniel 7:20-27.

What is the “mark of the beast?”

The mark of the beast has everything to do with global surveillance and the economic system of this world. The mark is a human implantable microchip. Please read the article on our Home page about the human surveillance microchip which will answer this question. The chip will more than likely be upgraded to include 666 using binary codes, and will not become mandatory by the False Prophet until the last 3 ½ years of the Tribulation (the Great Tribulation recorded in Mathew 24:21).

Where is it in the Bible?

In Revelation 13:16-18 – And he (False Prophet) causeth all, both small and great,rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: (vs17) And that no man might buy or sell, save (except) he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (vs18) Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast (Anti-Christ): for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six (666).

What is the Battle of Armageddon?

Armageddon is actually a valley region located between the Mount of Olives and the Old City of Jerusalem in Israel that extends 130 miles northwest of Jerusalem.  Also known as Megiddo and the Valley of Jehoshaphat (Joel 3:2). All nations will gather here, including the Anti-Christ, to go against Israel.  The Lord will descend from Heaven, destroying the armies and the Anti-Christ, thereby saving the Jews.

Old Testament book Joel 3:2 reads, I (The Lord) will gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

Revelation 16:14 says . . . which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. (vs16) And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

What nations are involved?

In the Old Testament book Ezekiel in Chapter 38, the Lord tells him the nations involved in Armageddon: (1) Gog/Magog – modern day Russia

(2) Meshech and Tubal–cities of Russia  (3) Persia – modern day Iran

(4) Ethiopia  (5) Libya/all of Africa including Egypt  (6) Sheba and Dedan – modern day Saudi Arabia (7) Togarmah – modern day Turkey  (8) the merchants of

Tarshish (Western Europe/EU) (9) young lions (the US/North American Union) (10) Gomer – Eastern Europe (11) Revelation 16:12 – “the kings of the east-” China, Japan, North Korea, India, and other countries located east of the Euphrates River.

Revelation 16:13-14 and 19:19 foretells that all military forces, worldwide, will gather in the Armageddon region to go against “him that sat on the horse,” Jesus Christ.

How will the Lord destroy the armies?

The Lord will kill them by speaking (certain) words, referred to as the sword. Ezekiel 38:21 reads, And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord God: every man’s sword shall be against his brother. When the Lord speaks, His words will cause the military men to go delirious, and they will

turn on each other. Revelation 19:15 says, And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations . . .

How will the “Kings of the East” pass through the Euphrates River?

A system of 22 dams began construction in 1969 on the Euphrates and Tigris Rivers in the southeastern region of Turkey.  The Ataturk Dam is the largest earth and rock/concrete dam of the 22, making it the world’s 6th largest dam.  The 22 series dam project is called the Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP).  When completed, the dams will be equipped to hold back the flow of the Euphrates and Tigris Rivers.

Revelation 16:12 records that an angel will pour out the 6th vial filled with God’s wrath, and the Euphrates River will dry up.  No one knows for sure how this scripture will manifest.  God may use military officials to call for the waters to be completely held back or He could literally dry up the Euphrates supernaturally, which is happening right now according to an article published in 2009 by the New York Times online.

Who are the “Kings of North and South” in Daniel Chapter 11?

The kings of the north is Russia and their northern allies; the kings of the south is an

African alliance.  We find this in Ezekiel Chapter 38.

 

 

 

Where are the United States and the countries of Europe in Prophecy?

 

This topic is an area of varying beliefs and opinions with the prophetic book of Ezekiel as the foundational text, where the nations involved in Armageddon are named.  Chapter 38 verses 6 and 13 are central to this question.

 

We will begin with verse 13–Sheba and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, will all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee . . .  In the Jewish Talmud, Tarshish is vital as a connector to the Atlantic Ocean.  In the 1700’s, when Great Britain controlled the 13 colonies (Now the U.S.), their merchants used this connector to the Atlantic Ocean for trade.  In those days, Great Britain was known as the “Lion,” and the 13 Colonies were known as the “young lions” because their origin stemmed from British rule.  For this reason, many Bible Scholars believe that the merchants of Tarshish in Ezekiel 38:13 is Great Britain, which can be translated as the nations of the European Union or Western Europe since Great Britain is a member country.

The young lions are believed to be the United States having been birthed from

British rule.

 

Conversely, other Bible Scholars believe that the United States will be wiped out by nuclear warfare from its opponents, and the ancient countries of Ezekiel 38:13 refer elsewhere.

Daniel 2:40 and 7:23-25 forewarns us that the Anti-Christ/World Leader will be empowered by the Revived Roman Empire, which is the European Union (Western Europe).  The EU controls the affairs of the US and will therefore serve as the allies of the Anti-Christ during the Battle of Armageddon.  By this time, the US will have merged with Canada and Mexico, creating the coming North American Union. Supporting text is in Revelation 17:12-14, And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings) . . . but will receive power as kings one hour with the beast.  (vs13) These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. (vs14) These shall make war with the Lamb (Jesus Christ), and the Lamb shall overcome them . . .

 

Continuing, let’s read Ezekiel 38:6, Gomer, and all his bands . . .The modern day names for the regions of Gomer comprise the nations of Central Europe.  These nations will serve under the Russian Alliance and will oppose the Anti-Christ and his militia.

 

Is Satan destroyed at the Battle of Armageddon as well?

 

No.  Revelation 20:1-3 tells us that an angel will cast Satan into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years (Millennial Reign).

 

When Jesus Christ returns to destroy the armies of Armageddon, will He remain in the air? Will He return alone?

 

The Lord Jesus will not remain in the air.  He will come from heaven on a white horse with His angels and saints.  Once He reaches earth, He will place His feet on the Mount of Olives in Israel.

 

Revelation 19:11 reads, And I saw heaven open, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

 

Zechariah 14:4 says, And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east. . .

 

Zechariah 14:5 says, and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. Matthew 24:31 reads, When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him . . .

 

What is the significance of Mount Olives?

 

u Jesus spoke to his disciples about the end time while sitting on Mount Olives as Matthew 24:3 reads, And as he (Jesus) sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us . . what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

 

u In Luke 21:37, the Bible records Jesus after prophesying the end time, And in

the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.

 

u After Jesus descended from Mount Olives,  the multitude praised God for all His works in Luke 19:37, And he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen:

 

u Jesus was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane before he was crucified.

Gethsemane lies below Mount Olives along its western slope.  Matthew 26:35 says, Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane. . .

 

u Jesus ascended into Heaven in Acts 1:9-12 after instructing His disciples,

(vs9) And when he had spoken these things, while they (the disciples) beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. (vs12) Then returned

they from the mount called Olivet . . .

 

As stated before, when Christ returns to the earth at the Battle of Armageddon, he will step onto Mount Olives as Zechariah 14:4 records. Mount Olives is a strategic location from which He will be towering over the Old City of Jerusalem and Armageddon regions.  Remember that the Armageddon region is located between the Old City of Jerusalem (Dome of the Rock location) and Mount Olives.

After Armageddon, what will happen to the people left of all the nations?

 

Jesus Christ will physically rule from Jerusalem during the Millennial Reign.  The people of God will act as His Ambassadors enforcing his laws over the remaining people of the nations who were not killed – those who took the “mark” and those who escaped to the mountains, perhaps.

 

What is the Millennial Reign?

 

The Lord Jesus will literally sit on the throne in Jerusalem and rule as King of kings for 1,000 years.  The people of the nations will be required to go to Jerusalem to worship Him once a year.  Zechariah 14:16 says, And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. The Millennial Reign begins after the Battle of Armageddon.
