Daily Proverbs: Hands That Shed Innocent Blood

Daily Proverbs: Hands That Shed Innocent Blood

Today’s daily proverb comes at the wake of the not guilty verdict of George Zimmerman the “wanna be cop” who admittedly shot and killed a young black  Trayvon Martin as he walked from the store to buy a pack of not cigarettes but Skittles. I was moved as I watched the judge grin with pleasure, as she heard the verdict read and told Zimmerman, “the court has no further business with you”. This was a sure sign that he was “justified” in murdering a young boy simply because he looked “suspicious” while carrying “candy” not a gun.

What  the judge and the jury doesn’t realize, God is going to deliver the final verdict! The testimony of Trayvon’s blood has reached the Throne Room! That’s all that’s needed for God to respond. Below is the Proverb that expresses how God feels when innocent people are killed:

These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:

  1. A proud look,
  2. A lying tongue,
  3. Hands that shed innocent blood,
  4. A heart that devises wicked plans,
  5. Feet that are swift in running to evil,
  6. A false witness who speaks lies,
  7. And one who sows discord among brethren.

Proverbs 6:16-19

While I pray for the family of Trayvon Martin to be at peace during this season of their life, we all have to keep in mind that God is going to judge not ten years from now, but starting next year as NASA reports four bloody moons starting April 15th 2014. No it’s not Judgement Day, only the beginning of many judgments coming before the Second Coming of Christ!
