The tragic incident involving a well-known social media astrologer and her family is shedding light on mental health awareness, particularly among Black women.

Danielle Johnson Stabs Boyfriend

The heartbreaking event unfolded on April 8 when Danielle Johnson reportedly fatally stabbed her boyfriend and then pushed her two young daughters out of a moving vehicle on a busy highway, resulting in the death of one child. The surviving 9-year-old was rescued by onlookers and taken to safety.

Following the disturbing ordeal at their Woodland Hills apartment, Johnson drove to Redondo Beach where she crashed her car into a tree at high speeds, leading to her own death.

The gruesome crime scene was discovered by a neighbor who described a trail of blood throughout the apartment building.

Authorities are still investigating the incident, with the 9-year-old being the only witness. There is limited information available at this time, leaving many questions unanswered.

While no motive has been disclosed, Johnson’s social media activity prior to the tragedy indicated signs of mental health struggles. Her followers pointed to her last tweets referencing apocalyptic theories surrounding a solar eclipse.

This tragedy underscores the importance of mental health awareness within the Black community. Studies show that Black individuals are more likely to experience psychological distress and less likely to seek mental health care. Statistics reveal alarming rates of suicide attempts among Black teenage girls.

It is crucial for loved ones to recognize signs of declining mental health in those close to them and offer support and guidance towards seeking professional help.
